Factual Raises $35M In Series B Funding

Factual, the neutral data company, said Thursday that it raised $35 million in Series B funding.

Factual has gained attention in the neutral data space by providing its technology to Apple Maps, Facebook, Microsoft Bing and MoPub (owned by Twitter) as well as payments companies in card-issuing banks networks, including MasterCard, First Data, and payment processors.

"The new funds will be used to continue investment in improving Factual's core capabilities in building high quality data, along with expanding sales and marketing both in the U.S. and in new overseas offices starting with the U.K.," Vikas Gupta, director of marketing, said in an email to Real-Time Daily.

Factual's Geopulse products are used by programmatic advertising platforms to make real-time bidding decisions on more than 40 billion ad requests per day. The products help advertisers reach consumers based on specific audience segments or on consumers' proximity to specific places.
