Travel Platform Skift Taps Conde Nast Vet Kremins As President

Skift, a travel information and marketing platform, announced today it has hired Condé Nast veteran Carolyn Kremins as president, a newly created position.

Kremins will oversee revenue, sales and marketing for Skift.

Rafat Ali, founder and CEO of Skift, stated that Kremins will strategize with the company by defining emerging markets and technology trends.

Ali, in a message to readers on the Skift site, expressed that Kremins’ joining the team is part of the company’s “need to scale on executive leadership in order to build Skift into a lasting global business information company.”

In a release, Kremins called Skift a “pioneering” brand that is changing the future of travel and the way "market leaders across the globe think about their business.”

Kremins has held many positions at Condé Nast. Most recently she was SVP/general manager for Condé Nast Digital, where she focused specifically on Epicurious and Ziplist. Kremins also worked for Condé Nast Traveler, Bon Appétit and the now-folded Cookie.

She left the company in 2014 as part of a reorganization, when Condé Nast announced that Lucky magazine would turn into a separate entity called The Lucky Group, jointly owned with the web retailer Beachmint.

Kremins was named one of “40 Industry Innovators With Impact” and Advertising Age’s “Women to Watch,” as well as deemed “one of the most influential women in media” by FOLIO magazine.

Kremins has a passion for travel; she has traveled to all seven continents, most recently Antarctica.
