SpotX Announces Plans To Expand In Asia, Hires New JAPAC Managing Director

SpotX, a video inventory management platform headquartered in Denver, has announced a new managing director of JAPAC (Japan and the Asia-Pacific region) to lead the company’s expansion into new Asian markets.

The new hire, Marcus S Tan, joins SpotX from PubMatic, where he was head of high-growth solutions, JAPAC. Tan's responsibilities will include bringing programmatic video and SpotX’s tech to mobile, connected TV and linear TV in the region.

Tan joined at the beginning of the year in a move that SpotX says signifies the company's "commitment to expand its Asia Pacific operations beyond Australia, New Zealand and Singapore into other high-growth potential markets in South East Asia, India, China and Japan." He will spend time in SpotX's Singapore and Sydney offices, and will oversee new hires as the company expands.

Last November, SpotX introduced a product called “Curated Marketplaces” and a software development kit for Apple’s new connected TV system, tvOS. SpotX opened offices in Amsterdam and Hamburg last year. Its other locations are in New York, San Francisco, London, Sydney, Belfast and Singapore.
