TBWA\Chiat\Day New York CCO Chris Garbutt Amps Up Team With New Creative Hires

TBWA\Chiat\Day New York has announced several creative hires at the agency, the first appointments under the leadership of new Chief Creative Officer Chris Garbutt. Garbutt has brought in Michelle Spivak as creative director and Josh Yeston as Associate Creative Director, along with senior creatives Cecile Pimont, Pieyre-Alexandre Treuil, Liz Agans and Mike Schneberg.

Of the hires, Garbutt said: "2015 was an incredible year for our business, and now, we're focused on making 2016 all about the creative product. I'm thrilled to welcome these diverse and incredibly talented teams to ramp up our department and to push us -- and our clients -- to new creative heights." 

Michelle Spivak joins TBWA from Code and Theory, where she was a creative director working on Chandon, 7UP, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire, Mott's, Snapple, and Dr Pepper accounts. She also spent nearly three years at TBWA\Toronto where she worked on the Infiniti and Nissan businesses.  

Cecile Pimont and Pieyre-Alexandre Treuil have joined the agency as senior copywriter and senior art director from AKQA in Portland, where they worked on Nike, including Nike ID and Nike Global Football. Prior to AKQA, Cecile was a copywriter with CLM BBDO in Paris where she worked on the M&M, Mercedes and Pepsi accounts and was part of the team behind the award-winning "A Trip Out to Sea" interactive film for Guy Cotten. Pieyre-Alexandre's prior experience includes stints at both BETC and McCann Paris.

Liz Agans and Mike Schneberg come to TBWA from McGarryBowen, where they worked together on Verizon, Intel and United Airlines accounts.  

Josh Yeston joined the agency in December as associate creative director. Josh has spent the last few years at RGA working on the Samsung and Volvo accounts. A graduate of Miami Ad School, he also worked as an art director at Pereira & O'Dell New York.

TBWA has also added associate and junior creatives Mac Schwerin, Nick Choremi, Avi Steinbach, Gina Pido, Jeff Jablansky and Timothee Bayard this month.
