Miller Hires Brennan As Director of Marketing Services

  • January 30, 2005
Following three months of speculation as to where media veteran Bob Brennan would wind up, Miller Brewing Co. has hired him as director of marketing services. He starts Monday.

Brennan, who left Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett after two decades last October, replaces Steve Buerger, who left to join Time Warner in December. Marketing services encompasses all media buying and planning, interactive advertising, and sports and event marketing efforts. He will report to Bob Mikulay, executive vice president of marketing and will be based at Miller's headquarters in Milwaukee.

Miller spends $260 million annual on media, according to CMR/TNS Media Intelligence and primarily uses WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather for its creative work, while Publicis Groupe's Starcom runs the media account. -- DK
