PETER LOVERING has been named vice president, production and development,
Discovery Channel for Discovery Networks, U.S. in London. In his new role, Holzman will oversee scheduling and acquisitions for the network and plan long-term programming strategies. Holzman joins
Discovery from Universal Television Group where he most recently served as senior vice president of the strategic research division. Lovering joins Discovery from the BBC, where he most recently
served as head of development for the BBC Docs and Contemporary Factual division.
