MPG Serves Up A Plate of Outback to CBS' 'Listen Up'

  • February 7, 2005
Havas' MPG has turned an Outback Steakhouse restaurant into a set for the CBS comedy "Listen Up," which stars Jason Alexander and Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

In a five-minute scene, the two lead characters have dinner at a branded Outback Steakhouse and get up to wacky hijinks with fictional Outback employees. The scene culminates in a play on a line used in a Las Vegas tourism commercial as: "What happens at Outback, stays at Outback."

The Outback segment airs on the Monday, February 7th episode. The integration deal was negotiated by MPG Entertainment, the branded entertainment division of the media shop. The negotiation was spearheaded by Jason Kanefsky, vice president and account director for MPGE, and the unit's directors, Richard Linnett and Hank Kim.
