Comedy Central Reorganizes Marketing Department

With Comedy Central's Doug Herzog picked to preside over both the comedy channel and its Viacom sister network MTV, Comedy Central has reorganized its marketing department in light of current changes. Michele Ganeless was named executive vice president and general manager, and in turn, promoted two executives: Richard Loomis to senior vice president, marketing and brand strategy, and Mitch Fried to senior vice president, promotion marketing. Both executives will continue to report to Ganeless, and are based in New York. Completing the senior team at Comedy Central marketing, Peter Risafi, senior vice president, brand creative, continues his responsibilities overseeing both the on-air promotion as well as the off-air creative departments.
