M&C Saatchi Acquires U.S. UX Specialist MCD Partners

LIDA, M&C Saatchi's CRM and direct marketing agency, has acquired a majority stake in MCD Partners, a digital customer experience agency. Terms weren’t disclosed.

MCD, with offices in New York and Chicago, will continue to be led by MCD Partners co-founders Ian Magnani, John Caruso, and Wasim Choudhury. LIDA, based out of London, will continue to be led by Matthew Heath, Chairman, and Victoria Fox, CEO.

"Rather than just find a clone of LIDA in the US, we chose MCD Partners as their digital customer experience skills are a perfect partner for our own roots in CRM," said Heath.

The acquisition enables to LIDA to expand its offering to include advanced data analytics, CRM, user experience design and other creative digital marketing services.

LIDA clients include Land Rover, Boots, Ikea, and Virgin Holidays. MCD Partners client roster includes Discover Financial Services, Samsung, Johnson & Johnson, and TIAA CREF.

MCD Partners has 120 staffers and will continue to operate as MCD Partners for the foreseeable future. LIDA has a staff of 220 split between London and Sydney, Australia where it opened offices in July 2014. Clients there include CommBank, Lexus, Freedom and Google.
