infoUSA Confirms Proposal To Acquire Digital Impact

Omaha, Neb.-based infoUSA Thursday confirmed that it had proposed to buy San Mateo, Calif.-based Digital Impact, Inc. for $2 per share in cash, representing a 38 percent premium over the Feb. 10 closing price of Digital Impact.

infoUSA is a direct mailing marketing company, and Digital Impact provides online advertising, including direct e-mail marketing and targeted Web sites.

According to infoUSA, the proposal has been given to the Digital Impact board, but negotiations for a potential sale have not begun.
