The number of wired cable homes in the U.S. grew to 74.7 million in May — accounting for 70.8% of all of the nation’s TV homes, according to a Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau analysis of Nielsen
data. This is up from 74.3 million wired cable households (70.4% of all U.S. TV homes) in April; and 74.1 million (70.3% of all U.S. TV homes) in March. "Wired cable’s record penetration is testament
to the successful efforts of system operators in marketing the many benefits of this form of television delivery,” said CAB President & CEO Joe Ostrow.
