Goodby Vet Robert Riccardi Jumps To Argonaut As CEO

San Francisco-based ad shop Argonaut, part of Project: Worldwide has hired longtime Goodby, Silverstein & Partners executive Robert Riccardi, as the 3-year-old agency’s first CEO.

The move reunites Riccardi, who was a managing partner at Goodby, with Argonaut founders Rick Condos, Hunter Hindman and Max Heilbron.

They had worked together over the last decade at GS&P running accounts including Doritos, Cheetos, Chevrolet, Cisco, and many others.

“I’ve been at GS&P for 23 years, and it’s been brilliant,” said Riccardi. “Now a new management team is emerging there that is fantastic, and the work over the past year is as good as it has been in a long while. So, it felt like the right time to move on to something new.”

As for reuniting with his old workmates, Riccardi added, “They are building a business and a culture that is exciting and new.”

“We’re 100 people strong, our business is growing by leaps and bounds, and we just moved into an incredibly inspiring and exciting new space,” said Hindman. “It’s time to take things to the next level, and Robert is the perfect accelerant for us.”
