NBC's 'Tonight' Still Leads Late Night In Viewers

Through 34 weeks of the TV season, NBC’s “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” continues to dominate the competition.

“Tonight” is earning a season-to-date Nielsen live-plus-same day 3.75 million total viewers, from 11:35 p.m. to 12:35 p.m. In the same time period, CBS’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” at 2.90 million and ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” at 2.4 million.

“Tonight” is also well ahead in 18-49 viewers -- averaging a Nielsen live program-plus-same day 1.03 rating/5 share. “Late Show” is at an 0.65/3; and “Kimmel” is at a 0.55/3.

In April , the “Late Show” hired a new executive producer, Chris Licht, who was producing CBS’s early newscast “CBS This Morning”, and previously co-created MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

At 12:35 to 1:35 a.m., ABC’s “Nightline” is earning 1.5 million viewers and for 18-49 viewers, 0.36 rating/2 share, on a season to date basis.

Later that night, NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” from 12:35 p.m. to 1:35 p.m. has a closer race with CBS’ “Late Late Show with James Corden” -- but still ahead.

“Late Night ” is at 1.6 million viewers and a 0.47/3 among 18-49 viewers; “Late Late Show”, at a 1.3 million viewers and a 0.33/2 for the 18-49 demographic.
