'Martha Stewart Living' Names Dana Bowen Executive Editor, Announces New Hires

Martha Stewart Living's editor in chief Elizabeth Graves has added to the title’s editorial, art, and photography departments, and named Dana Bowen executive editor.

Bowen was most recently the executive editor at Rachael Ray Every Day, and previously served as the executive editor at Saveur.

Graves also hired four more employees this week. Katie Field was named art director, effective June 13. She is returning to the position at MSL after serving as senior designer at Real Simple.

In the photography department, Dawn Sinkowski has been named photo director for both Martha Stewart Living and Martha Stewart Weddings, effective immediately. She is also returning to the Martha Stewart brands, where she previously held the title of senior style editor. More recently, Sinkowski worked with Condé Nast Traveler and Rodale’s Organic Life.

Joanna Garcia has been named associate photo editor, also effective immediately. Previously, Garcia worked at TheKnot.com, Maxim, and Town & Country.

Claire Sullivan has been named editorial assistant for both Martha Stewart Living and Martha Stewart Weddings.

Sequential Brands Group purchased Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. last December. In January, Graves replaced Eric Pike as editor in chief. A "small fraction of employees" from Martha Stewart Living and Martha Stewart Weddings were laid off around the same time, as a result of a licensing agreement between Sequential Brands Group and Meredith, according to Sequential.
