Dentsu Aegis Network Expands In Middle East With Acquisition

Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired control of Cairo-based digital agency Digital Republic. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

The acquired shop will become part of Isobar, DAN’s digital agency network, and rebranded Digital Republic Linked By Isobar.

DAN indicated that as the two agencies align as a single brand in the market, the Isobar team will grow to over 100 people with a creative and technology hub in Cairo and client servicing and strategy teams distributed across the region.

Digital Republic was founded in 2009 and opened a second operation in Dubai in 2012. Clients include Unilever, McDonald’s, Reckitt Benckiser, Edita, Savola and Frico.

The shop offers a range of creative digital services including content creation, campaign strategy and planning, to digital media planning and buying, social media solutions, technology and gaming development, video production and e-commerce solutions.
