In support of this year’s Canada Day Sale, Starwood has compiled an infographic and video that celebrate the heritage of Canada with tips on things to see and do while exploring this summer. The video and infographic are available for viewing on SPGWeekends.com.

Starwood’s Canada Day Sale is available at participating hotels in locations including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City and St. John’s. Hotels participating in the sale include Sheraton Centre Toronto; The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver, Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire; W Montréal; The Westin Nova Scotian; and Le Centre Sheraton Montreal.

In the U.S., Starwood continues to play up its role as the official hotel and loyalty program of Major League Baseball. The hotel company is encouraging fans to hit the road to watch their favorite team.

Baseball fans are expected to collectively travel one trillion miles this year while players travel more than 67,000 miles per season -- enough to fill all of Starwood’s 64,805 hotel rooms in Europe, Africa and the Middle East combined.

Via SPG, the hotel is offering both fixed-point and auction-style packages including an on-field experience with the Atlanta Braves for pre-game access to watch batting practice up close and deliver the official lineup card to the umpires at home plate; Boston Red Sox batting practice for four guests and VIP Tour of Fenway Park and Philadelphia Phillies behind-the-scenes tour of Citizens Bank Park and an invitation to participate in a team press conference.
