TEN Enthusiast Network Expands Motor Trend OnDemand

TEN: The Enthusiast Network announced today that Amazon Prime members will have access to Motor Trend OnDemand video programming as an add-on subscription.

Amazon users can add Motor Trend’s subscription video on demand service to their Prime membership and access all OnDemand programming, except for live events, for free for 30 days.

According to the sign-up page on Amazon, MotorTrend OnDemand will be $5.99 per month after the free trial. An Amazon Prime subscription costs $99 per year after a 30-day free trial.

Live event streaming will be added to the service in 2017.

The content available on Prime is broken up into different categories: Popular, Originals, Cars, Bikes, Events and Classics.

TEN CEO Scott Dickey stated that there are many “loyal fans” of Motor Trend who are also Amazon Prime members.

The expansion of OnDemand content to Amazon Prime is part of Motor Trend’s strategy to have their video service available on as many platforms as possible. OnDemand is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android and Roku devices, as well as on the Web. On June 30, the service was added to Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.

A spokesperson told Publishers Daily that Motor Trend OnDemand will likely announce further platform expansions in the coming weeks.

In early June, TEN launched live video programming on Facebook Live, with over 1,200 minutes produced each month by its network brands, including Motor Trend, Surfing, Automobile and GrindTV.

In May, Motor Trend OnDemand unveiled a new mobile app and its first multimedia campaign to promote its original programming -- the popular Web series “Roadkill” -- as well as live automotive racing series, including F1 and Indy 500.
