Time Inc Names D'Emic EVP/CFO

Time Inc. EVP and CFO Jeff Bairstow is stepping down and will be replaced by Sue D’Emic, previously SVP, controller at Time Inc. Bairstow will remain as EVP and CFO until Nov. 7.

He then will stay on in an “advisory capacity” until March 1, 2017 to ease the transition. Bairstow has served as Time Inc.’s CFO since 2013, the same year D’Emic joined the company.

Marcus Rich, CEO of Time Inc. UK, will now report to Time Inc. CEO Rich Battista instead of to Bairstow.

Three other Time Inc. executives are taking on additional roles.

Erik Moreno, currently EVP of business development, is becoming EVP and president of corporate development, new ventures and investments.

Greg Giangrande, EVP and chief human resources officer, will take on the additional role of chief communications officer, overseeing corporate communications and media relations, employee communications and corporate social responsibility.

Jaison Blair, currently SVP of investor relations and corporate communications, is becoming SVP of investor relations, finance and corporate development.

Time Inc. is in the process of expanding its digital businesses to make up for declining print advertising revenue. According to a Bloomberg report, print sales fell 0.5% last quarter from a year earlier to $769 million. Company shares have dropped 15% this year.
