Tennis Channel Serves New Chief, Former Scripps Exec Is A Fine Choice

After a storied career at places such as Universal, DreamWorks, News Corp., and Scripps, it seems natural for an executive to want to call it a day and concentrate on things like tennis. But Ken Solomon is one executive who is not ready to don the tennis whites and just hit the court. However, the 20-year media veteran is taking the post of chairman and CEO of the Tennis Channel on April 1. Solomon, a founding president of the Fine Living Cable Network, is succeeding David Meister, who has held the post since he co-founded the network. -- D.K.
