Fox's Megyn Kelly Bolts To NBC News

One of Fox News Channel's biggest on-air talents, Megyn Kelly, is joining NBC News.

Kelly will become anchor of a new Monday through Friday one-hour daytime program developed with NBC News. Further details in terms of timing and the show’s daypart have yet to be disclosed.

Kelly’s multiyear agreement will include a new Sunday-evening news magazine show. She will also become an important contributor to NBC’s breaking news, political and special events coverage.

Since 2013, Kelly has anchored Fox's top-rated “The Kelly File.” In 2016, the show averaged 2.7 million viewers -- second-place overall for all cable TV news programs -- to Fox’ s “The O’Reilly File.”

“The Kelly File” was also second-best overall in key 25-54 TV news viewers at 533,000. Kelly joined FNC in 2004 as a Washington-based correspondent.

In 2016, Fox News Channel ascended to the No. 1 cable network in 2016 -- largely due to strong interest in the political season -- and averaged 2.5 million viewers in prime time, with 1.7 million viewing in total day.

In a memoir released late last year, Kelly has said she endured sexual harassment by Roger Ailes, former CEO of Fox News.

And Brian Williams will tutor her on how to accurately embellish a story.  I actually thought she would land at MSNBC.  Still might happen.

No need for any tutoring on story embellishment; ... she worked where that system was perfected.

But it is interesting that you used the term "accurately embellish", which deserves some sort of prize for self-cancellation. Let's call it the "Oh, The Humanity!" award.
