Showtime, Xbox Team For Marketing Tie-in

In a novel alliance between two electronic media platforms, Viacom's Showtime Networks unit and Microsoft's Xbox division Tuesday unveiled plans for a summer marketing tie-in that will provide new Showtime subscribers with a free Xbox games and Xbox Live Starter Kits. The promotion features two distinct offers, each valued at $100 or more to consumers who sign on to SHOWTIME during the promotional period from participating cable and satellite affiliates. -- J.M.
