CBS Gets Real For Summer

  • May 9, 2005
It's summer, and all the best scriptwriters are vacationing. Therefore, as CBS unveils its summer schedule, it's only natural that the season will be heavy with reality fare. The series "Fire Me, Please!" which has been hired to start on June 7 at 9 p.m., is a show in which contestants try to get fired before a 3 p.m. deadline. (No word as to whether the show is set at a major broadcast network.) Also debuting this summer is "The Cut," a fashion competition hosted by Tommy Hilfiger. "Big Brother" returns in July for three nights a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 9 p.m., 9 p.m., and 8 p.m., respectively. Also coming in July is a pet project of Australian producer Mark Burnett ("The Apprentice," "Survivor") called "Rock Star: INXS," which is kind of a combination of MTV's P. Diddy vehicle "Making the Band" and Fox's "American Idol." -- D.K.
