Three Biggies -- Amex, Revlon, Heinz -- Move To New Shops

A spate of advertising account decisions were announced on Monday including new agency assignments for American Express, Revlon's Almay brand, and H.J. Heinz Co.

Heinz consolidated advertising for its entire U.S. Consumer Products brand portfolio - including Heinz Ketchup and Classico sauces - with Cramer-Krasselt. The Chicago-based independent agency already handled Heinz Frozen Foods brands including Ore-Ida frozen potatoes and Weight Watchers Smart Ones entrees and desserts.

Heinz awarded the frozen foods brands to C-K in August 2004 after a review. The accounts were previously handled by Leo Burnett and Campbell Mithun.

Meanwhile, American Express' American Express Financial Advisors unit named Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide as its new advertising agency of record. The New York-based agency will develop new ideas, including an advertising campaign to help AEFA promote a new brand name in preparation for the unit's spin-off as a separate publicly traded company in the third quarter of 2005.

Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide will continue to be the advertising agency of record for American Express Company.

Finally, Revlon announced that Omnicom's Arnell Group has been awarded all creative and media planning for the Almay cosmetics brand. The assignment also includes other undisclosed aspects of Almay's marketing plan including promotional, interactive and retailer programs.
