According to numbers released Tuesday by the Interactive Advertising Bureau, spending on Internet advertising totaled over $2.8 billion in the first quarter of 2005, marking the ninth consecutive
quarter of growth. First-quarter revenues this year represent a 26 percent year-over-year increase, and a 4.3 percent increase over the fourth quarter of 2004. The Interactive Advertising Bureau's
report was based on research by the New Media Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
