MSN's automobile section now includes select car-related information from
Consumer Reports under a new distribution agreement between the Internet company and magazine. Visitors to MSN's car
channel, MSN Autos, have access to
Consumer Reports ratings, road test results, and recommendations about other comparably priced cars, among other information. The
Consumer Reports
material on the site is free, but surrounded with links offering further information; visitors who click on those links land at a site where they can sign up for a
Consumer Reports
subscription. The agreement calls for
Consumer Reports publisher, Consumers Union, to share revenue with MSN for subscriptions generated through the MSN site.
