Study: U.S. Hispanics Turning To Online Shopping

U.S. Hispanics increasingly use the Web for e-commerce, according to a study released Monday by America Online and Roper. The report, based on interviews conducted at the beginning of the year with 603 Hispanic online subscribers, found that 70 percent of online Hispanics say that using the Internet is the best way to compare prices--last year, just 59 percent of online Hispanics said likewise. Additionally, 63 percent of respondents said they go online for advice about purchases, compared to 56 percent last year. The report also noted that more than half of online Hispanics--52 percent--connect via broadband at home.
