Lachlan Murdoch, the son of News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch, has resigned as deputy chief executive officer, the company said Friday. In a statement, Rupert Murdoch said he was "saddened" by his
son's decision. Among other things, Lachlan Murdoch had been publisher of the
New York Post.
