NBC's Downey Gets Branded Entertainment Promotion

Reflecting NBC's effort to build its branded entertainment business, NBC promoted Greg Downey to vp of network and branded entertainment business affairs of NBC Entertainment. Downey will be responsible for all network and cable branded entertainment deals across all dayparts. He had been director of business affairs for NBC Entertainment since June 2003.

Previously, he worked for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) from September 1997 to June 2003. There, he had been director of business development of entertainment properties. Downey helped the USOC develop entertainment deals and corporate sponsorship related to the Olympics and U.S. Olympic team. He will continue to report to Beth Roberts, evp of business affairs for the NBC Universal Entertainment and Cable Entertainment divisions.
