News Corp. Thursday confirmed plans to acquire IGN Entertainment, a leading developer of online video games, for about $650 million. The move is part of an aggressive step-up in News Corp.'s Internet
strategy, and also increases its position in the burgeoning video game and advergaming marketplace.
