Arbitron Acquires New Orleans-Based Ad Software Firm

Arbitron Tuesday said it acquired Integrated Radio Systems, a New Orleans-based radio ad sales software provider, for $4.5 million in cash. IRS, which markets software systems that help radio stations manage their advertising sales, has been operating out of offices in Houston since Hurricane Katrina. John Poche, president and owner of IRS, has become vice president-sales management software at Arbitron.
