Clarification: Apollo Price Cuts Old, Not New

Arbitron Tuesday denied there has been a new round of rate discounts for marketers, agencies and media companies seeking to sponsor Project Apollo, a joint venture of Arbitron and VNU that will begin testing a new method of single-source media and marketing measurement next year. Responding to MDN's coverage of a story published by Adweek, an Arbitron spokesman said the price cuts, which lowered subscription costs to $350,000 from about $1 million per company, were made earlier this year and were already well publicized.
