Spike TV To Develop Its First-Ever Scripted Programming

  • November 21, 2005
After airing a number of reality shows since its launch two years ago, Spike TV says it will develop scripted TV programming. The young-male-targeted network will develop a slate of nine shows--including one in which police confront a mysterious outbreak that has genetically altered citizens; a bunch of young friends looking to build a race car to compete in NASCAR, and a "48 Hours"-style cop drama about two homicide detectives on each side of the El Paso/Juarez border.
