Fox Sports Reorganizes Ad Sales Team

In light of its growing lineup of sports properties such as the Bowl Championship Series and more NASCAR races, Fox Sports has made some major advertising sales executive changes.

Neil Mulcahy has been promoted to executive vp, sports sales for Fox. He had been senior vp for Eastern sales, national sales promotion, late night, and Fox.com sales at Fox Broadcasting.

At the same time, longtime Fox Sports advertising executive, senior vp Jim Burnette, has been promoted to executive vp, sports strategy and marketing.

Steve McKiernan has been promoted to senior vp of sports sales, reporting to Mulcahy. Executives Mark Evans and Rick Kloiber have both been promoted to vp of sports sales, reporting to McKiernan.

In addition to recently acquiring college football's BCS, Fox contracted another expensive long-term eight-year agreement with NASCAR--one in which it now gets to air the big Daytona 500 race every year instead of every other year. Fox Sports also has major NFL and Major League Baseball packages.

Both Mulcahy and Burnette will continue to report to Jon Nesvig, President of Sales, Fox Broadcasting Company.

Nesvig also promoted Susan Wachter to executive vp of sales planning and administration and Cliff Pozner to senior vp of revenue analysis. Ms. Wachter will report to Mr. Nesvig, while Mr. Pozner will report to both Ms. Wachter and Mr. Mulcahy.
