Mediaedge:cia (MEC) has formed a new management team for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. MARK AUSTIN will continue to serve as chairman, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, with MELANIE VARLEY elevated to chief executive officer, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Varley replaces DOMINIC GRAINGER, who has now become managing director, GroupM, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Austin and Varley are tasked with driving the growth and success of Mediaedge:cia across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. Austin will focus primarily on Europe, Middle East, and Africa strategy development, management of the local markets, and mergers and acquisitions. Varley will develop all European based clients and MEC product and services, and will play a key role in the management of the business' specialist capabilities.
