Subway Strike Sends New Yorkers To Retail Sites

The subway shutdown in New York City this week resulted in a spike in online shopping, according to new data from comScore Networks. The research company reported that the share of online spending in the United States attributable to the New York area grew by 18 percent for the first two days of the Transit Workers Union strike this week.
