Eagle Email, an email management and permission marketing company, recently introduced Eagle Stream, an ASP-based rich media email service. The product, created in partnership with OrangeMarketing
(Philadelphia, PA), combines their technology with Eagle Email's Eagle Response mail-server software which can stream commercials by email to consumer and business clients in rich media, in addition
to plain text, and HTML format. The company says Eagle Stream can be used to push email advertising messages to client databases of customers who have provided explicit permission to receive email.
The commercial messages can be downloaded quickly over low-speed, dial-up Internet connections. In the past, a high speed, broadband connection was required to stream rich media commercials of this
quality.
