Editor's Note: MediaDailyNews Expands Staff, Adds Industry Vets

  • January 23, 2006
As part of a commitment to better serve our subscribers and expand our coverage into a broader range of media and marketing stories, MediaPost has expanded its editorial team with the addition of veteran Madison Avenue journalists and media industry insiders John Wolfe and David Goetzl.

Wolfe, who most recently was executive editor of Hearst Magazine's House Beautiful, has joined as executive editor responsible for beefing up MediaDailyNews' coverage of advertising agencies, magazines, and the world of marketing. He also edits Marketing Daily, one of MediaPost's newest publications, and the first to be explicitly written and edited for marketers. Wolfe previously was head of communications for the American Association of Advertising Agencies and editor of its Agency magazine. Prior to that, Wolfe was New York bureau chief of Advertising Age.

Goetzl joins MediaPost from CBS, where he was a director in the CBS Marketing Group. Prior to that, he was a reporter at Advertising Age, where he covered marketing and television beats, and was an editor for "Mediaworks." At MediaPost, Goetzl will work closely with West Coast Editor Wayne Friedman on MediaDailyNews's coverage of the television business.
