Gawker Media Thursday unveiled its latest blog, ValleyWag, devoted to rumors swirling in Northern California's digital media world. Calling itself a "tech gossip rag," the site--which contains posts
dating back to January--focuses on the personalities behind the largest new media businesses. So far, Google Vice President Marissa Meyer features promimently in at least half a dozen entries. One
Thursday post titled "Move Over Brad and Angelina" includes an altered
US Weekly cover displaying photos of Meyer and Google co-founder Larry Page, with a cover line reading, "Larry & Mari's
Secret Affair." At launch, the site carried rich media banner ads promoting Virgin Atlantic.
