Comcast's OLN To Carry Arena Football

  • February 20, 2006
Comcast's OLN has reached an agreement to carry Arena Football League games, the latest move by the cable network indicating it may seek to become a national all-sports outlet. OLN will televise 11 regular-season AFL games through May 13, and one playoff game. The deal is unusual because it comes in the middle of a season; the AFL kicked off its 20th season in January. OLN, the one-time Outdoor Life Network in 63 million homes, joins NBC and FSN as AFL outlets. The AFL is OLN's latest sports rights acquisition. Last fall, it picked up the NHL.
