MeasureCast, reported that its Internet Radio Listening Index rose 10 percent during the week of September 9-15. The increase followed a week during which the index dropped 13 percent, due in large
part to the Labor Day holiday. So far this year, the total time spent listening to Web radio stations measured by the index is up 142 percent. Twenty-one of the MeasureCast Top 25 Internet radio
stations streamed more hours of entertainment than they did the week before, while 21 stations enjoyed larger audiences. On the network front, Clear Channel Worldwide and MUSICMATCH, Inc. both
streamed more than one million hours of Internet radio programming.
