Blockbuster has inked a deal to become the title sponsor for The Hollywood Christmas Parade. Global Icons will be the producer for what will now be the Blockbuster Hollywood Spectacular, A Holiday
Tradition. NBC will tape and package the event into a national primetime special. The parade is a 71 year-old tradition that takes place on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The 2002 version will include
events and performances by recording artists and Hollywood Stars. The route follows Hollywood Boulevard, Vine Street and Sunset Boulevard. Nearly one million spectators are expected.
