Havas Shakes Up Flagship Euro RSCB Unit, Appoints Heekin, Patel To Top Posts

In a surprise move, Havas has named long-time advertising executive James Heekin chairman-CEO of its flagship Euro RSCB Worldwide unit, replacing Bob Schmetterer, who is Retiring After 33 years in advertising. Heekin most recently was chairman and CEO of Interpublic's beleaguered McCann-Erickson WorldGroup and McCann-Erickson Worldwide. Meanwhile, MediaDailyNews has learned that other moves are afoot at the Havas unit, including the appointment of interactive marketing vet Ritesh Patel as Global Chief Information Officer.
