Report: In-Game Advertising to Double

By the end of this year, about 200 video games will contain integrated in-game ads--more than double the current number of games with such ads, according to a report released Monday by the Yankee Group. The report also predicts that, by 2010, the in-game advertising market will reach $732 million. Additionally, the report forecasts that by 2010, large game developing shops, such as Microsoft, Sony and Electronic Arts will develop in-house ad-serving technology. -- Shankar Gupta
