MSN Ad Revenue Up 7%

Ad revenue at Microsoft's online division, MSN, increased by $25 million, or 7 percent, in the first three months of this year, compared to the first three months of 2005, the company reported Thursday. Microsoft stated in its stock filings that the growth came from a surge in display advertising in portals, channels, e-mail and messaging services, but that this was offset by a drop in search revenue, due to the ramp up of its own paid search product, Adcenter.
