K Shuffled At M: MindShare Gets K-mart, MediaCom's Out

In a consolidation that was anticipated ever since Kmart and Sears merged into Sears Holdings Corp. last year, all media buying and planning has been assigned to one of the two GroupM units handling the two retailers: long-time Sears shop MindShare. The move frees former Kmart shop MediaCom to pitch other retail business, but the agency has already announced a restructuring related to the loss of the nearly $200 million Kmart account. The consolidation was made without out a formal review.
