aQuantive Acquires Franchise Marketing Firm

Online marketing firm aQuantive has agreed to acquire Franchise Gator, a pay-per-performance franchise marketing service, for $21.5 million, the company announced Wednesday. Franchise Gator, headquartered in Roswell, Georgia, runs a site for businessmen and women looking to start up franchise businesses, with information about 550 franchise businesses from a variety of industries. The company will retain its brand name, and will be placed under the Digital Performance Media segment of aQuantive.
