Tribune Interactive Acquires ForSaleByOwner.com

Tribune Interactive, the online arm of the Tribune Company, announced Monday the purchase of ForSaleByOwner.com, a real estate Web site that allows property owners to list and sell their own homes. The site is free to buyers, and charges a per-listing fee for sellers. ForSaleByOwner.com recorded 1.6 million average monthly unique users in 2005, according to Comscore Media Metrix. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
