Comcast Expands Online Video Services

Comcast Corp., the largest U.S. cable operator, has bought a small digital media company as part of plans to expand its video products beyond its digital cable services. The Seattle-based company, thePlatform, has clients that include The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, and Starz Entertainment Group's Vongo. ThePlatform already has done video delivery deals for Verizon Wireless's VCast, among other services.
