Revenue from the New York Times Co.'s online properties grew to $66.1 million last quarter--or 7.7 percent of the total, according to the company's earnings report released Tuesday. Web sites in the
company's News Media Group saw ad revenue growth of 25 percent, while About.com revenue surged 63 percent. Overall, the company's profits were flat--with net income totaling $61.3 million for the
quarter, or 42 cents a share, compared to $60.8 million (also 42 cents a share) in the second quarter of 2005.
