Wall Street Journal Online Snares Two Codie Awards

Dow Jones & Co.'s Wall Street Journal Online won three Codie Awards in the competition's Electronic Publishing segment. The Wall Street Journal Online at WSJ.com earned two Codies, and Dow Jones NewsPlus won the other, the first Codie for the Dow Jones Newswires. The Wall Street Journal Online, was awarded "Best Online Business News or Information Service." The Wall Street Journal Online's Health Industry Edition was awarded "Best Online Science/Technology/Medical Information Service" for the second consecutive year. Launched last year, Dow Jones NewsPlus, the Web-based news, features and market information companion to the Dow Jones News Service, was awarded "Best Online Professional Financial Information Service." The Software & Information Industry Association's (SIIA) Codie Awards recognize excellence in the software, information and education technology industries. The Online Journal has 695,000 paying subscribers.
